Injection moulding of thermoplastic materials

Injection moulding is a process in which material is shaped inside a mould, a defined cavity that can vary in size depending on the dimensions of the item being made.

Raw materials are selected during the design phase according to the properties required of the part, such as whether it needs to be rigid or flexible, wear-resistant, and so on.

Moulds designed with the latest technologies following a thorough design phase make it possible to produce complex components with a high degree of precision and repeatability.

Almost all window and door fittings are made using this production process.

Extrusion of PVC, ABS and engineering plastic profiles

Unlike moulding, the extrusion process involves forcing thermoplastic material in a pasty state through a die to give it the desired shape, theoretically in a continuous length.



Silplast uses extrusion to produce soft seals, sealing gaskets that can be co-extruded from different materials, and rigid profiles for specific uses across a range of industries.

Contract Manufacturing

For many years, Silplast has built production partnerships with a wide range of customers, offering technical and design support throughout the process, from the initial stages through to prototype production, and ultimately delivering cost-competitive manufacturing.

In recent years, we have upgraded and modernised our extrusion machinery, making us a local supplier capable of meeting requirements for profiles weighing up to 0.6 kg/m.
